Bette Ellis Multicultural Morning Tea

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is one of Australia’s best-loved fundraising events, and plays a vital role in raising money towards Cancer Council’s work in research, prevention and support. 

Louise Multicultural Community Centre (LMCC) held this biggest morning tea on 24 May 2012, and over 80 people attended and some of the pictures were taken on the day.

1.  Volunteers at the registration and contribution counter collected money for the Cancer Council.
2 & 3.  People attended at LMCC. 
4.  Performance - Chinese dance.
5.  Dudley gave a speech on the statistic of the cancer council.
6.  Geoff thanked Dudley for his time and effort for the past 17 years at the centre.  Dudley will continue to volunteer on graphic design after retiring from teaching.
7.  Nga (student) thanked Bette and Dudley for their teaching.
8.  Korean Drumming Group performed on the day.
9, 10 & 11.  Thank people for bringing food to share with others.  All people had a wonderful time on this day.

National Volunteer Week (NVW) 

begins 14/05/12 - 20/05/12

This National Volunteer Week 2012 is the celebration of volunteers in Australia.  It provides an opportunity to highlight the role of volunteers in our Whitehorse Community and to say Thank You to those who volunteer and donate their time and energy to help others.


Free Cultural Exchange Program - March 30, 2012

We held a "Seriously Fun International Cultural Exchange Program!" at our centre.
The program included the following items:
  - Music and Performance
  - Learn Aussie Slang
  - Networking/Information and many more....
  - Refreshments
